mentoring

With eight years of photography under my belt, I've been through it all - the ups and downs of the dreaded learning curve. I've turned a beloved hobby into a full time job. I've developed a consistent look and feel for my photos to create a body of work I'm proud of. I've practiced connecting with even the shyest, most hesitant clients. I've learned that creativity is a muscle you can exercise, not just something that arrives in a flurry and leaves you abruptly.

I'm so excited at the chance to connect with other photographers in a more intimate setting. In my experience, conversation and hands-on practice are the two best ways to learn and be inspired. These sessions are a safe space in which my only goal is to help you do what you love even better and with more confidence. I want to help you make a little magic of your own.

COFFEE & CAMERA CHAT | $150

Let's do one of my favorite things: grab coffee and talk about photos. In this casual mentoring session, we'll meet for one hour and discuss anything and everything - ranging from portraiture, editing, putting clients at easy during session, client interaction, websites, etc. No question is too small or silly

PERFECT FOR YOU IF:

  • You want to turn your hobby into a business
  • You need inspiration or a pep-talk
  • You want a mini-critique of your work
  • You crave conversation and connection
  • You're new to photography and have questions

COFFEE & CAMERA CHAT + 1 HR SHOOT | $300

Maybe you want to ask questions AND put the answers into practice. We'll grab coffee for one hour and talk through anything and everything you have on your mind. Then we'll proceed to a one hour shoot with a model. For the first 30 minutes, you'll watch me work. For the second 30 minutes, you'll take over shooting while I give feedback and answer questions as we go.

PERFECT FOR YOU IF

  • You learn best through "doing"
  • You want to improve your shooting style
  • You benefit from seeing things demonstrated
  • You have a specific setting you want to improve shooting in (indoors, outdoors in bright sun, etc)
  • You crave conversation, connection, AND practice
